Prize

We would like to encourage players of all levels to participate. Our goal is to distribute the cash prize to all level players. 

Cash Prize 
Adult
Open Category: First Place $750, Second Place $300 (Top 3 will get trophies) 
4D & 5D: First Place $150 
1D to 3D: First Place $100 
1K to 5K: First Place $50
6K to 10K: First Place $30


Children Division will not have cash prize, but there will be trophies and medallions and other prizes such as go boards and books from sponsors. Children who sign up for the Adult Division are qualified to win cash prizes.

1D+ Division: Top three will get trophies
1K to 5K: Top three will be named +small prize
6K to 10K: Top three will be named +small prize
Beginner: Top three will be named +small prize

Tournament Format

MAIN TOURNAMENT (Adult ) 
  • 3 day competition
  • 6 rounds - Swiss MacMahon
  • Japanese rule, Komi 6.5
  • 2 games per day – Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • 1 hour per player
  • Byo-yomi: 20 moves per 10 minutes
Playoffs on Monday
CHILDREN'S TOURNAMENT
  • 2 day competition afternoon
  • 6 rounds - Swiss MacMahon
  • Japanese rule, Komi 6.5
  • 3 games per day – Saturday and Sunday afternoon
  • 30 minutes per player
  • Byo-yomi: 25 moves per 10 minutes
Interactive Go Puzzles between matches
PAIR GO TOURNAMENT 
  • 3 rounds - Swiss MacMahon
  • Japanese rule, Komi 6.5
  • Will be held on Monday
  • 45 minutes per player
  • No Byo-yomi
LIGHTNING GO / ADULT & CHILD PAIR GO
  • 3 rounds- Swiss MacMahon
  • Japanese rule, Komi 6.5
  • Will be held on Friday Night
  • 15 minutes per player
PROFESSIONAL GO GAME ONE-TO-MANY
